PAPER CRANES GOING UP ON A TUESDAY

I
just screamed into a pillow.  My throat is now currently on fire.  My non-stick pan is no longer non-stick.  My vegan grilled cheese sandwich stuck to the pan leaving the crispy grilled part cruelly separated from the melty cheesy goodness.  I ate what can only be described as a soft cheese sandwich.  That just ain't right.  You guys, this was my Tuesday afternoon until about 10PM.

The not so non-stick pan is a metaphor for my emotional state.  I am holding onto too much and not releasing enough.  These emotions have manifested into little balls of pain that have clustered in the center of my back.

Louis Hay wrote a book about healing the body.  In it she talked about the metaphysical reason for this type of back pain.  It is caused by feeling a lack of support in a certain area in one's life.

Well, BINGO.  There you have it.  I have been working hard on a project that is very dear to my heart and because it is not running as smoothly as I envisioned it would, along with other drama that comes with working on a project with a lot of people, I scream into pillows and jack up what would have been a perfectly grilled vegan cheese sandwich.  The support is coming in slowly but gahhhh-damn.  Let's get it together people.  SHEESH!
Acrylic and spray paint on paper folded into an origami crane.
This origami bird is what I made tonight.  The paper was a little too thick for the folding but just right for the paint I used to make a unique design.  I used to love origami in the sixth grade.  This crane was pretty much made from muscle memory.  I found these instructions if you want to make one yourself.  We would make tons of animals during my Japanese language lessons.  Sadly, I am not fluent.

Tonight I could be this origami bird, bending and folding to become something else other than a not so non-stick pan.  Tomorrow will be better.  I just need a good night's sleep.
