MAKING TIME FOR ART MAKING AND ALL THAT AFRO JAZZ

A
fro Jazz production, my latest mixed media collage art form, started today! I set aside some time to start working on a few Afro Jazz projects including Greeting Cards and paintings.  I have things down to a science now when it comes to making my hand made cards.  A few new ideas even bubbled up to the surface for 2015.  Check out these 31 Amazing Facts About Afro Jazz

Earlier in the week I went to my happy place, aka the library and did some art related research.  As my art ace, +FINE ARTS BY SHURVON says, "If you don't have time to create art, read about it!"  Taking her advice, I found a book on fine art collages and began reading everything I could on the subject.

There are a few things I plan to incorporate into my latest Afro Jazz pieces.  When you know about the tools you use to create, you can't help but to appreciate your own creative endeavors more.  Creating art that lasts for decades is very important.  Not only does the selection of quality materials add value to your work, I have found that it makes the art making process a little more meaningful.

Make the appropriate investments in your art supplies and materials.

Today's production has already been sold.  In fact, it has been pretty hard to keep these cards in stock.  Once they are made, that's it.  They are gone.  It is nice to have people who enjoy these little masterpieces as much as I enjoy creating them.

Finding the time to blog everyday for NaBloPoMo is just as intentional as making the time for art making.  The production of all things Afro Jazz is scheduled to resume tomorrow and all throughout December.  Visit the print shop and get your pre-order in today!
