LAUNCH DAY 5: SHORTCUT TIP #392 Cookie Jar Logic

Day 5: on the launchpad: Cookie Jar Logic...
Remember that song about innocent children who were falsely accused of robbery?  It goes like this:

Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?
Who me?
Yes, you!
Couldn't be!
Then who?!

This was one of my favorite games because I was in class with some very silly and dramatic actors in training!  The object of the game was to point the finger at someone who had yet to be put through the melodic third degree.

Much can be learned from this childhood song when looking to launch something new.  Whenever, you have a question like this:

How can/would/do I (fill in the blank)?

Immediately start singing "Who Stole the Cookies from the Cookie Jar?"  Why?  All you need to know is contained in this diddy.  Just take the 3rd letter of the word how and make it the first letter.  Now instead of asking how, you will ask who.

Who (fill in the blank with your same question from above)?
The person you ask will either be the right person and have the answer you're looking for or they will respond with the equivalent to the lyric, "Couldn't be!"

This gives you the opportunity to ask: "Then who?!"  They will then happily point the finger at someone else!  Put yourself out there and sing the song until you get your answer!

Not only will you get an answer, asking the right questions is a great way to cement new relationships in your launch world.  Talk about a 2-for-1 deal!

No matter what your launch worthy endeavor is, you'll get much further if your query starts with who rather than how.  It doesn't matter how the cookies were stolen.  The real question is who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?  I will give you a hint!  It wasn't me!
